Archiving a Campaign

Archive a campaign to remove it from the active list while keeping its details and content links. You need Editor or Manager access, including organization Admin or Owner access.

Archive the Campaign
- Open the campaign.
- Open its action menu and select Archive.
- Review the confirmation and confirm the archive action.
The campaign is hidden from the active list. Its date-based status remains Upcoming, Live, or Ended; archiving is a separate setting.
Check Linked Posts
Posts already linked to the campaign keep their campaign and phase assignments. They can still be saved and continue on their existing publishing schedules.
An archived campaign is marked Archived in the campaign picker and cannot be assigned to new content. Restore it before linking more posts.
Find and Restore a Campaign
- Return to Campaigns.
- Select the Archived filter.
- Open the campaign.
- Open its action menu and select Restore.
The campaign returns to the unarchived list. Its status is calculated from its dates, so a restored campaign whose end date has passed appears as Ended.
Resolve a Name Conflict
Campaign names must be unique among unarchived campaigns in the workspace. Archiving a campaign frees its name for reuse.
If another unarchived campaign now uses the same name, rename one before
restoring the archived campaign. Use distinct names, such as Spring Launch 2026 and Spring Launch 2027, if you want both unarchived.
Keep the Campaign Record
The campaign menu provides Archive and Restore, not permanent deletion. Use archiving to retain the brief and content links for later reference.
Questions
How do I archive a campaign?
Open the campaign's action menu, select Archive, and confirm. Editor or Manager access is required.
What happens to the posts on an archived campaign?
They keep their campaign links and continue on their existing schedules. Archiving does not stop publishing.
Can I still assign an archived campaign to a post?
No. Restore the campaign first. Content already linked to it keeps its assignment.
Where do archived campaigns go?

How do I unarchive one?
Open the archived campaign and select Restore from its action menu.
Can I reuse the name of an archived campaign?
Yes. Archived campaigns do not reserve their names. If the name has been reused, resolve the conflict before restoring the older campaign.

The campaign menu does not offer permanent deletion. Use Archive to hide it while retaining its details and content links.
