LinkedIn Image Sizes (2026)

The LinkedIn banner size is 1584 x 396 pixels for personal profiles and 1128 x 191 for company pages. Profile photos are 400 x 400, and post images work best at 1200 x 1200.

LinkedIn uses different cover sizes for people and for companies, and the two are not interchangeable: the personal banner is a 4:1 rectangle while the company cover is a much thinner 5.9:1 strip. Both get partially covered by the profile photo on the left, so keep anything important to the right of it.

LinkedIn image size FAQ

What is the LinkedIn banner size?

1584 x 396 pixels for a personal profile, a 4:1 rectangle. A company page cover is different: 1128 x 191 pixels, a much thinner strip. The two are not interchangeable.

Why is my LinkedIn banner cropped?

LinkedIn shows different slices of the banner on desktop and mobile, and the profile photo covers the lower-left corner. Keep text and logos in the right two-thirds of the image and away from the bottom edge.

What size should a LinkedIn post image be?

1200 x 1200 pixels square is the most reliable. For shared links, LinkedIn pulls a 1200 x 627 preview image. Portrait 1080 x 1350 takes the most feed height on mobile.
