TikTok Sizes (2026)

TikTok videos are 1080 x 1920 pixels at 9:16. The profile photo uploads at 200 x 200 or larger, and captions and buttons cover roughly the bottom 450 pixels of the frame.

Almost everything on TikTok uses one canvas: 1080 x 1920, the full vertical phone screen. The real work is the safe zone, because the username sits over the top of the frame and the caption, sound title, and action rail cover a serious share of the bottom and right edge. A video sized correctly but composed edge-to-edge still loses its text under the UI.

1080 x 1920 pixels at 9:16, the full vertical phone screen. TikTok accepts a minimum of 720 x 1280, but 1080 x 1920 is the standard for sharp playback.

What is the TikTok safe zone?

Roughly the middle of the frame. The top 150 pixels sit under the username, the bottom 450 pixels sit under the caption and sound title, and the right 140 pixels sit under the action buttons. Keep text and anything important inside the remaining center area.

Can I upload a landscape video to TikTok?

You can, but TikTok letterboxes it with black bars inside the vertical player and it earns less screen. If the footage matters, recut it vertical at 1080 x 1920.
