A weekly social media report should be lean or it will not survive contact with a real week. This template keeps it to four sections: the headline numbers against last week, the top post and why it worked, one lesson, and next week's focus. Ten minutes to fill in, two minutes to read.
Download the CSV for Google Sheets or Excel. When the month closes, the monthly template linked below is where the fuller story goes; the weekly one exists so nothing surprising waits four weeks to surface.

Every section below is a labeled block in the CSV, in this order. Fill them top to bottom and the report writes itself in the right shape.
Which week, which accounts, who wrote it.
Three to five metrics against last week. Weekly numbers are noisy, so the note column matters more than the delta.
The one post that earned the week, and the reason, so it can be repeated on purpose.
One honest lesson and the single thing next week does differently. One of each, deliberately. Lists of ten actions produce zero.
Pick a slot, Friday afternoon or Monday morning, and fill the template in the same sitting each week. The value is in the streak, not any single week.
Weekly metrics swing. Note the swing, explain it if you can, and save the trend conclusions for the monthly report.
One lesson, one focus, one owner. If the weekly report produces more than one action, it is quietly becoming the monthly report.
Headline numbers compared against last week, the top post with the reason it worked, one lesson, and one focus for next week. Anything more belongs in the monthly report, and a weekly report that takes an hour stops being written by week four.
Depth and purpose. The weekly one is an early-warning system and a habit, four sections, one action. The monthly one carries the full KPI story, top content, wins, lessons, and next month's plan, and is the one stakeholders usually see.
Yes. Download the CSV, open it in Excel or import it into Google Sheets, duplicate the tab each week, and fill it in from your platform analytics.
Mostly the team doing the work: it catches problems inside the month and keeps the top-post habit honest. Send it to a client only if they have asked for weekly visibility; otherwise let the monthly report do the client-facing work.
