Quick Answers

The short version of the questions this hub gets asked most. Each one links to the full answer with the caveats and the workflow around Facebook.

How To Schedule Posts On Facebook

Open Meta Business Suite at business.facebook.com, choose your Page, and click Create post. Write the caption, add media or a link, turn on Set date and time, pick the slot, and click Schedule. It is free, it covers feed posts, Reels, and Stories, and the scheduled post lands in Planner where you can edit or move it before it publishes.

Can You Schedule Posts On Facebook?

Yes. Any Facebook Page can schedule feed posts, Reels, and Stories for free through Meta Business Suite, on desktop or in the mobile app. Personal profiles are the exception: a regular profile cannot schedule at all, and a profile with professional mode turned on can only schedule from the Facebook mobile app. Meta's documentation puts the scheduling window at up to 75 days, though many Pages currently see it stop at 29.

When Is The Best Time To Post On Facebook?

The best time to post on Facebook, across most engagement studies, is weekday mornings through early afternoon in your audience's local time, with Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday between roughly 9am and 1pm the strongest stretch. Treat that as a starting point rather than a rule: regional datasets skew differently, and your Page's own audience activity data is the only chart built on your followers.

Can You Schedule Posts On A Personal Facebook Account?

Mostly no. A regular personal Facebook profile has no schedule option anywhere, and third-party schedulers cannot help, because Meta's API only allows outside tools to publish to Pages. The one exception is professional mode: turn it on and the Facebook mobile app adds a Schedule for later option when you create a post. There is no way to schedule a personal profile post from desktop, with or without professional mode.

Meta Business Suite Scheduling Limits

Meta Business Suite schedules Facebook and Instagram content for free, and Meta publishes no cap on how many posts you can queue. The limit that actually bites is the window: Meta's documentation says up to 75 days in advance, but many Pages currently find the Planner stops at 29 days. The earliest slot is about 20 minutes out. Feed posts, Reels, and Stories can all be scheduled; events, check-ins, and photo albums cannot.

Why Did My Meta Business Suite Story Upload Disappear?

Your file is almost certainly fine. When a Story upload in Meta Business Suite's Planner starts and then vanishes with no error message, the cause is nearly always a bug on Meta's side, and it arrives in waves: several managers hit the identical failure in the same week, and it clears on its own once a Business Suite update finishes rolling out. While you wait, switch surfaces, because the bug usually breaks one version of Business Suite at a time. If the desktop Planner is dropping uploads, schedule from the Business Suite mobile app; if the apps are broken, use the desktop site.

Can You Share A Facebook Post From Meta Business Suite?

No. Meta Business Suite's composer only creates new posts, so it cannot share an existing Facebook post, scheduled or otherwise, and that holds at every permission level, full admin included. Pasting the post's link does not get around it, because Facebook does not build preview cards for its own URLs, so the link publishes as bare text. The share that still works lives on the post itself: open it on facebook.com or in the Facebook mobile app, press Share, and share to your Page. It publishes the moment you confirm, since nothing on any Meta surface can schedule a share. For a batch that has to go out on a schedule, the workaround is recreating each post as a new one.
