Meta Business Suite Scheduling Limits
The Short Answer
Meta Business Suite schedules Facebook and Instagram content for free, and Meta publishes no cap on how many posts you can queue. The limit that actually bites is the window: Meta's documentation says up to 75 days in advance, but many Pages currently find the Planner stops at 29 days. The earliest slot is about 20 minutes out. Feed posts, Reels, and Stories can all be scheduled; events, check-ins, and photo albums cannot.

Meta Business Suite Scheduling Features
Business Suite is Meta's free command center for Pages, and scheduling is its strongest feature. The composer schedules feed posts, Reels, and Stories to Facebook and Instagram together or separately, the Planner shows the queue on a calendar where posts can be dragged to new slots, and the Content tab lists everything scheduled, published, and drafted. The mobile app can do the same from a phone.
Since Creator Studio was retired, this is also the only native place Facebook scheduling lives. The Page composer's schedule path leads here, and the older publishing tools that guides still mention have been folded in or shut down.
The 75-Day Claim And The 29-Day Reality
Meta's help pages say content can be scheduled up to 75 days ahead, and that number gets repeated across the web as if it were settled. What a lot of Page admins actually see is different: the date picker in Planner refuses anything past 29 or 30 days, on desktop and in the app, and complaints about the mismatch have been circulating in scheduling forums and vendor blogs for many months. Meta has not publicly explained the gap or said which behavior is intended.
The practical read: assume 29 days, and treat anything longer as a bonus if your account happens to allow it. If you plan a quarter at a time, seasonal campaigns and launch content will not fit in the native window at all, which is usually the moment teams move the queue somewhere with no such ceiling.
Pros And Cons Of Using Meta Business Suite Vs Third Party Tools
The case for Business Suite is short and strong: free, native, first in line for new Facebook formats, and perfectly adequate for one brand posting to Facebook and Instagram. If that describes you, use it and spend the tool budget elsewhere.
The case against it is everything outside that description. It sees two platforms, so every other channel lives in a different tab with a different queue. There is no approval step, so whatever gets queued gets published. And when a post fails, nothing chases it; the failure sits in the queue waiting to be noticed. Third-party schedulers exist because those three gaps compound as soon as more people, brands, or platforms are involved.
Clunky And Not Reliable When Handling Multiple Brands
That is the usual verdict from managers running several clients through Meta's native tools, and it matches how Business Suite behaves at agency scale. Each client means switching business portfolios, permissions live in Meta's business settings where access requests go to die, and there is no single calendar showing every brand's week side by side. Scheduled posts occasionally fail without a notification, which is survivable for one Page and corrosive across ten.
This is the workload Maeve Social is built for: every brand's Facebook, Instagram, and other channels in one workspace, one calendar filtered by client, approvals before anything publishes, and failed posts caught and held with their caption, media, and error so they can be fixed and retried. Business Suite stays useful as the place you verify the connection; the daily work moves somewhere calmer.
Plan Past The 29-Day Window
Schedule Facebook as far ahead as the campaign needs, with every brand's calendar in one workspace and a review step before anything publishes.
