- 1
Open Settings, then Social channels
Select Pinterest from the connection grid.
- 2
Sign in on Pinterest
Sign in on Pinterest's sign-in page. Maeve does not receive or store your password.
- 3
Review the permissions
Pinterest lists the access Maeve needs for your boards, Pins and account. Choose Give access to continue. Maeve needs to read your boards as well as write Pins, because a Pin cannot be published without a board to put it on.

Confirm the Connected Account
Check the connected account. Its boards load when you select Pinterest in the composer.

Boards
Select Pinterest in the composer to load the board list, then choose a board. To create one, select New Board. Turn on Keep this board secret if you do not want the board to be public.
The board selector currently loads one page of results from Pinterest. If an existing board is missing, check it on Pinterest. You can create a new board from Maeve if that suits the post.
Each Pin goes to one board. To use the same image on several boards, create a separate Pin for each board.
Keep titles within 100 characters and descriptions within 500. Longer values are trimmed when published.

What Will Stop a Pin
- No board chosen. Pinterest has nowhere to put the Pin
- No title. Pinterest requires one on every Pin
- No media, or more than one item. Exactly one image or video
- A video with no cover image
Check file size, duration, and aspect ratio before scheduling. The composer does not enforce all Pinterest file limits. Files outside the limits above can fail when Pinterest processes them.

Add a Pinterest title before saving or publishing.

When the Connection Breaks
If an account shows Needs reconnecting, restore its connection before the next scheduled post is due.
- Open Settings, then Social channels.
- Find the affected account and select Reconnect.
- Sign in to the same account and approve the requested permissions.
Reconnecting keeps scheduled posts attached to the account. After reconnecting, retry any posts that failed while the connection was unavailable.
