How do I split a panorama into an Instagram carousel?

How many slides can I split a photo into?
Two to ten. If the photo isn't wide enough for the number you pick, the splitter trims the top and bottom so every slide keeps its shape, and the preview shows exactly what is cut off.
Why don't my carousel slides line up?
Usually because the slides are different shapes. A carousel shows every slide at one shape, so a slide cut to a different one gets cropped and the join moves. Cut them all at the same shape here and add them in order.
Which shape should I pick?
Portrait 4:5 is the usual choice for a carousel in the feed. Tall 3:4 is the tallest photo Instagram keeps at full size. Square 1:1 suits a wide panorama that would lose too much height as a tall slide.
Does my photo get uploaded anywhere?
