Choose a Section
- Open Discovery in your workspace.
- Choose a section from the Discovery sidebar. On mobile, open the section picker below the heading.
- If the section needs a connection, select an eligible account or follow the connection prompt.

If Tracked hashtags is marked Coming soon, you cannot open it yet.
Your last section and selected account are saved in your browser for each workspace. When several TikTok Business accounts are connected, use the account icons in the header to select one.
Connect the Required Account
For Competitor tracking, connect Instagram using Connect via Facebook. An Instagram Login connection does not support competitor tracking in Maeve. See Instagram for connection steps.
Trending music, Keyword research, and Caption hashtags need a TikTok Business connection. If the selected account needs reconnecting, open connections from the prompt and reconnect it.
You can use Trending hashtags without connecting a social account.
Use Text in a Post
- Select the keywords or hashtags you want to use.
- Click Copy where available. If you click Use in a post, click Copy text in the dialog.
- Open the composer and paste the text into your caption.
- Edit the caption and complete your usual review or scheduling steps.
Keywords copy as plain text. Hashtags copy with a leading #. In Trending
music, Use track opens a dialog containing the track name and artist.
It does not attach audio to a post.
Discovery does not create or publish a post when you select or copy a result.
Check Competitor Limits
Competitor tracking requires Basic or above. Limits apply to each workspace.

What does Discovery do?
Use Discovery to compare Instagram competitors and research TikTok hashtags, music, search terms, and caption hashtags.

Instagram and TikTok.
Do I need to connect anything to use it?
Trending hashtags needs no connection. Trending music, Keyword research, and Caption hashtags need TikTok Business. Competitor tracking needs Instagram connected through Facebook.
Why does competitor tracking say I need to connect via Facebook?
Maeve requires a Facebook Login connection for competitor tracking. Open connections and choose Connect via Facebook when connecting Instagram.
Can I turn something I find into a post?
Copy the text and paste it into the composer. Use in a post opens a copy dialog; it does not create or publish a post.
What plan do I need?
Competitor tracking requires Basic or above: one competitor per workspace on Basic, five on Standard, or fifteen on Premium. TikTok sections follow their account connection requirements.
Does Discovery remember where I was?
Yes. Your last section and selected account are saved in your browser for each workspace.
