Create the Draft
- Select the Instagram account whose grid you are planning.
- Open a media mockup that is not already linked to content.
- Check the media order and any cover you have set.
- Click Create content.
- Review the draft in the composer before scheduling or publishing.
Creating content does not schedule or publish the post.
Check What Carries Over
| Planner Detail | Draft Result |
|---|---|
| Media | Copied in the saved order |
| Eligible cover | Applied to the first media item |
| Tile note | Used for the caption and post title |
| Account | The Instagram account selected for the grid |
A cover carries over only when the media supports it. Check the resulting preview and post type in the composer, especially for video content.
Check Whether a Tile Is Eligible
| Tile | What to Do |
|---|---|
| Media mockup without linked content | Open it and use Create content |
| Placeholder | Add a media mockup for the intended post |
| Tile already linked to a draft or post | Open the existing content |
| Mockup without media | Add media before creating content |
A placeholder's color and title are planning markers. They are not media for a publishable post.
Find the Linked Draft
The tile stays in its planner position and links to the new draft. The draft also appears on the Content Board in Draft.
Open the linked content to finish its caption, choose the post type, and set a publishing time. Scheduling makes it available in Coming up; the linked planner tile can remain in Planning until the post is sent.
Review Before Publishing
Check the account, caption, media, and publishing settings in the composer. Complete any required review before scheduling. The layout you arranged in Planning does not itself set a publishing order or time.
Questions
What does promoting a tile do?
Create content makes an Instagram draft from the media mockup and links the tile to it.
What carries over into the draft?
The saved media order, an eligible cover, and the tile note as the caption and title. Check the resulting draft in the composer.
Can I promote a placeholder?
No. Use a media mockup with media to create content. A placeholder is a planning marker.
Does the tile disappear after promoting?
No. It remains in its planner position and links to the draft.
Where does the draft go?
It is created for the selected Instagram account and appears in Draft on the Content Board.
Is the post scheduled when I promote it?
No. Set a publishing time separately in the composer. Scheduling adds it to Coming up and does not necessarily remove its Planning tile.
When should I promote?
Use Create content when you want to write, review, or schedule the post. You can continue editing the draft afterward.
