September 1 to 30
Create a Bet
- Click Add bet.
- Choose the bet type.
- Select the subject, metric, and comparison or target where required.
- Set the start and resolution dates.
- Write the prediction and your reasoning.
- Review the details and click Create bet.
| Type | What You Specify |
|---|---|
| Head to head | Two subjects compared on a metric |
| Your own call | One subject and a threshold |
| Manual bet | A claim whose result a person will confirm |
Subjects can include a channel, pillar, format, campaign, label, or the workspace. Use the choices available for the selected metric.
Choose the Measurement
Metric choices include engagement rate, reach, views, engagements, likes, saves, comments, shares, link clicks, and follower growth.
Check the supported subjects and accounts before saving. For example, do not assume a metric is available for every network because it appears for another.
Write the reasoning as a testable explanation, such as The tutorial format received more saves in our last campaign. You can compare that explanation
with the result when the bet closes.
Read the Live Status
| Status | What It Indicates |
|---|---|
| Too early to tell | Only a small part of the measurement period has elapsed |
| Too close to call | The compared values are close |
| You're winning | The current values support the prediction |
| You're losing | The current values do not support the prediction |
These are progress indicators, not final outcomes. Manual bets remain open for a person to assess.
Add a Team Prediction
Open an eligible bet and choose one of its prediction options. The wording depends on the bet, so read the choices rather than assuming they always mean yes or no.
Workspace members can add their own predictions while the bet permits it. Solo call means no other member has added a prediction.
Resolve the Bet
- Find a bet marked Ready to resolve.
- For a metric-based bet, click Resolve to calculate the result from available data.
- For a manual bet, review the claim and select the outcome offered by its controls.
- Review the saved result.
Reaching the resolution date makes a bet ready; it does not replace the resolve action. You can also resolve eligible bets during a retro.
Review the Leaderboard
Open Leaderboard to compare recorded calls, wins, losses, hit rate, and streaks. Check the number of calls alongside the hit rate when comparing members.
Questions
What is a bet?
A prediction with a measurement period and a result. Metric-based bets use available data; manual bets need a person to record the outcome.
What kinds of bet are there?
Head to head compares two subjects. Your own call uses a threshold. Manual bet records a claim for a person to assess.
What can I bet on?
A channel, pillar, format, campaign, label, or workspace, depending on the chosen metric.
Which metrics can I use?
Choices include engagement rate, reach, views, engagements, likes, saves, comments, shares, link clicks, and follower growth. Check the available scope for each.
Why does it ask why I think this?
The reasoning records what you expect to explain the result, so you can review it afterward.
What does too early to tell mean?
Only a small part of the measurement period has elapsed. It is a progress indicator, not a resolved result.
Can my team call a bet too?
Yes. Members can choose a prediction while the bet permits it. Read the options because their wording depends on the bet.
What is on the leaderboard?
Calls, wins, losses, hit rate, and streaks. Compare the number of calls alongside the percentage.
Who settles a manual bet?
An Editor or Manager records the manual outcome. Metric-based bets use Resolve to calculate it from available data.
