Set Up Your Strategy

  1. Open Foundation and save the information your team needs when writing.
  2. Open Platforms, click Add platform, and record a plan for a network.
  3. Open Goals and click Add goal to set a measurable target.
  4. Use Bets to record a prediction before its measurement period ends.
  5. Open Retros to review results and record the next actions.

You can use each section independently. Update the foundation when the audience, business objective, positioning, or voice changes; there is no fixed review interval required by Maeve.

Understand What Is Measured

Automated goals and metric-based bets use data available to Maeve. Manual goals need progress entries, and manual bets need a person to record the outcome.

Check the metric and account coverage before relying on a result. Writing a platform cadence does not schedule posts or create a tracked goal automatically.

Foundation and platform strategy fields provide guidance for your team. They do not replace the composer settings or publishing checks on individual posts.

Check Your Access

Editors and Managers can manage the foundation, platform strategies, goals, and bets. They also configure, start, and complete retros and resolve bets.

Other workspace members can read Strategy, make predictions on eligible bets, and participate in active retros. Participation includes cards, reactions, and actions where the session allows them.

Questions

What is in the Strategy section?

Foundation, Platforms, Goals, Bets, and Retros, with an Overview summary.

Where should I start?

Record your Foundation, add a platform plan, and create a goal. Use Bets for predictions and Retros to review results.

How often should the foundation change?

Update it when the audience, objective, positioning, or voice changes. Maeve does not require a fixed review interval.

Do goals pull real numbers?

Automated goals use data available to Maeve. Manual goals need you to log progress.

Does Strategy change anything about publishing?

Strategy does not schedule posts automatically. Continue using the composer and calendar to review and schedule content.

Who can change the strategy?

Editors and Managers manage Strategy. Other members can read it, predict on eligible bets, and participate in active retros.
