The linked post appears below the task's properties. Click it to open the content. To choose a different post, click Change.

The link applies to the whole post, including its channel versions. You cannot link a task only to one channel's version.

Create a Task From a Post

  1. Open a saved post in the composer and select Tasks.
  2. Enter a title in Add a task for this content.
  3. Click Create.
  4. Open the new task to add assignees, a due date or other details.

The task is already linked to the post and also appears on the task board. If the post is new, save it before adding linked tasks.

Check Linked Work

The composer's Tasks tab lists the post's linked tasks with their columns and assignees. Click a task to open it.

On the Content Board, the post card shows completed tasks out of the total. Hover over the badge to see how many are still open.

A task counts as completed when it is in the default Done column, even if you renamed that column. Completing checklist items alone does not complete the task or change this count.

  1. Open the task from the task board or the post's Tasks tab.
  2. Click Unlink beside the linked content.

The task and post both remain. Linking, changing the linked post and unlinking are recorded in the task's Activity tab.
