Campaign Phases
Updated
Use phases to divide a campaign into stages, such as preparation and launch. Each phase can have a name, color, and dates. Phases are optional.
You need Editor or Manager access to manage them, including organization Admin or Owner access.

Use the Phase Template
- Open the campaign and select Content if needed.
- Click Manage phases.
- If there are no phases, click Use template.
- Review the generated Tease, Launch, and Sustain phases.
- Change the names, colors, or dates as needed.
- Click Save changes.
The template divides the campaign period into stages. It requires campaign start and end dates. If those are missing, edit the campaign first.
Add a Phase Manually
- Open Manage phases and click Add phase.
- Enter a phase name, up to 120 characters.
- Choose a color and optionally set dates.
- Repeat for any other phases, then click Save changes.
You can leave dates blank when you only need a group for related posts. The campaign timeline uses the campaign dates where a phase has no dates of its own.
Edit Phase Dates
Open Manage phases, change the dates, and save. A phase's end cannot be before its start. Its dates must stay within the campaign period.
Phases can overlap. If a phase needs to extend beyond the campaign period, update the campaign dates before saving the phase.
Assign Posts to Phases
Choose a campaign on the post, then select one of its phases. On the campaign page, select a phase to filter the content list. See Linking Content to a Campaign.
The Analytics view also lets you inspect performance by phase.
Remove a Phase
- Open Manage phases.
- Click the remove icon beside the phase.
- Click Save changes to apply the removal.
