Writing and Saving Drafts

Updated

Ask Maeve for caption ideas in chat, then tell it which version to save. Text in a response is not a saved post until you request draft creation and it succeeds.

Ask for a Draft

  1. Open Ask Maeve in the workspace where the post belongs.
  2. Describe the post, name the channel and include the facts it needs.
  3. State any writing constraints, such as length or phrases to avoid.
  4. Send the request and read the options.

For example:

Write two LinkedIn captions announcing our September workshop. It is for first-time business owners. Use the details below and finish with a booking invitation. Avoid hashtags.

Include the workshop details in the same message. Ask Maeve to flag missing information if you do not want it to fill gaps in the draft.

Refine the Wording

Reply in the same chat with a specific change:

Keep the second version, but shorten the opening and remove the sentence about limited places.

You can ask for a different opening, a shorter version or wording for another channel. Review names, prices, dates and claims before saving.

Save the Chosen Version

  1. Use general workspace chat, with the post editor closed and no Workbench page open.
  2. Ask explicitly to save the version you want, naming the channel and account if your workspace has more than one.
  3. If an approval card appears, read it and click Approve to continue.
  4. Wait for Draft created, then click the saved draft in the result to open it.

For example:

Save the revised second version as a LinkedIn draft for our company account.

Check the caption and selected channel in the composer. Add media and complete any required fields there. Use the composer's controls to save further edits, request review or schedule the post.

Check the Result Before Repeating a Request

If Maeve returns wording in chat, you still have a suggestion. A Draft created result confirms that a draft was saved. If the request fails or is interrupted, check for an existing draft before asking it to create another.

Draft creation follows your workspace permissions and approval setting. Asking for a draft does not schedule or publish it.

Questions

Does every caption Maeve writes become a draft?

How do I choose which version to save?

Why did Maeve ask for approval to create a draft?

The workspace may use Always ask. Review the approval card and approve it if the proposed draft is correct.

Where do I open the saved draft?

Click the saved draft in the Draft created result to open it in the composer.

Will saving a draft publish it?

No. Review the draft and use the composer to schedule or publish it.
