Timezones and Scheduled Times
Updated
Check the workspace timezone before scheduling. All scheduled dates and times in that workspace use it, including when a teammate opens the calendar from another country.
The calendar header shows the timezone's city name. Hover over it to see the full timezone name.

One moment, one calendar. Only their own clocks differ.
Your Own Location Does Not Matter
The same workspace shows the same scheduled times to everyone. Traveling or opening it on another computer does not change the calendar's timezone.
Maeve does not have a separate personal timezone setting.

- (GMT+0:00) UTC
- (GMT+1:00) London
- (GMT+1:00) Lisbon
- (GMT+2:00) Madrid
Used for scheduling, analytics, and local calendar dates.
You need workspace Manager access or an organization Owner or Admin role. The search accepts city aliases, such as Wellington for Pacific/Auckland.
The displayed UTC offsets use today's date. Scheduling uses the offset for the date of the post, including daylight-saving changes.
What It Governs
Use the workspace timezone when selecting a publishing time or reading one on the calendar. It also determines which calendar day contains the post.
Task due dates, campaign dates, and calendar notes use dates without a time. They remain on their selected day. Meta and TikTok ad schedules use the ad account's timezone.
Times Are Stored as a Moment
Changing the workspace timezone does not change when existing scheduled posts publish. It changes the local time displayed for them and can move them to a different displayed calendar day.

Both calendars are drawing the same instant. The post publishes at that instant either way, so the change is to what you are told, not to what happens.
After changing the timezone, review existing posts and reschedule any that need a different local publishing time.
Scheduled reports retain the timezone saved when you configured them.
Daylight Saving
Maeve uses the timezone rules for the selected date. A post scheduled for 9:00 AM after a daylight-saving change uses 9:00 AM on that date.
Recurring schedules also use their saved local time and timezone for each occurrence. Check any warnings in the recurring schedule preview:
| Warning or error | Action |
|---|---|
| The local time does not exist when clocks move forward | Choose another time and preview the series again |
| The local time occurs twice when clocks move back | Maeve uses the earlier occurrence. Check that this is the one you want |
Dragging a post to another day in month view preserves its local time of day, including across daylight-saving changes.
Past Times
Choose a future date and time in the workspace timezone. If the selected time has already passed, Maeve shows an error below the time field and disables confirmation.
Check both the date and timezone if a time you expected to be valid is rejected.
Questions
Which timezone are scheduled times in?
The workspace timezone, shown in the calendar header and workspace settings.
Does the calendar change if I open it from another country?
No. The workspace uses the same timezone regardless of where you open it.
Can I set my own timezone, separate from the workspace?
No. Everyone uses the workspace timezone.
Where do I set the workspace timezone?
Open Settings, Workspace, then Edit in Workspace details. You need Manager, Owner, or Admin access.
What timezone does a new workspace get?
The first workspace uses your browser timezone. Later workspaces default to the current workspace's timezone. Check it in the creation dialog.
What happens to scheduled posts if I change the workspace timezone?
They publish at the same moment. Their displayed local time, and possibly calendar day, changes. Reschedule them if you need a different local time.
Do I need to adjust for daylight saving?
Maeve applies the timezone rules for each scheduled date. Recurring schedules use the saved local time for each occurrence.
Why was my repeating post refused because of daylight saving?
A selected local time does not exist on one of the dates when clocks move forward. Choose another time and check the preview again.
Why is a time I picked being refused as in the past?
Check the selected date and workspace timezone. The chosen time must be in the future in that timezone.
Why does the calendar header show a city rather than a timezone?
The header abbreviates the timezone to its city name. Hover over it to see the full name.
