Batch file renamer
Preview new filenames and download renamed copies in a ZIP. Add a prefix, replace literal text or number files while preserving their original bytes.
Drop any files here. Up to 100 files and 64 MiB total.
Naming pattern
Extensions are kept. Find and replace applies only before the final extension and is case sensitive. Duplicate names are checked without case differences.
The ZIP contains renamed copies with identical file bytes. It preserves embedded metadata; use the photo metadata tool separately when needed.
Inspect photo metadataHow to use it
- 1
Drop or choose up to 100 files, totalling no more than 64 MiB.
- 2
Set a prefix, a literal find-and-replace rule and optional numbering. Review every old and new name.
- 3
Resolve naming conflicts, then download a ZIP containing renamed copies.
Before you export
Extensions are kept by default and are not changed by the naming controls. Replacement applies to all exact matches in the filename before its final extension. Selection order sets the numbering order.
Names with path separators, reserved characters or collisions are rejected. File bytes, including any embedded metadata, stay unchanged. Keep the originals until you have checked the ZIP.
Your inputs stay in this browser. These tools work without an account. The content editor opens separately; your files are not transferred automatically.
